Throw a Party to Support Women and Girls

A good party just requires an enthusiastic host. This project is ground-breaking so there is a lot to be enthusiastic about. The theme is clearly to support women and girls, and the environment.

What should happen at the party?

The party does not have to be longer than a couple of hours, with the majority of the time spent with informal socializing, an introduction, and the short video screening taking place around 45 minutes into the party. We will provide you with all your tools to download below.

You may want to set a fundraising goal and depending on your party attendees - make it a challenge! Perhaps you can find someone who will match donations to a goal.

Have a laptop available for people to make their online donations or if they would prefer to write a check, make the check out to Village Volunteers with "Empowering Women. Period." on the memo line. All check donations can be mailed to Village Volunteers, 5100 South Dawson St. Suite 202, 98118.

Make an announcement near the end of the party to thank your guests and to congratulate them on how much you've raised with their help. Ask them to share the project with friends, family and colleagues who might be interested.
